OVERVIEW
BLOODMONEY! was developed as an indie game by creator ShroomyChrist. It was released in August 2025. The game was born from the desire to turn the familiar clicker mechanism into a social commentary on despair and moral choices in life-or-death situations.
In this game, you will take on the role of a character who is desperate to pay $25,000 for an upcoming surgery. On the way home from the hospital, you stop at a roadside store. Here, you meet Harvey Harvington. He is willing to pay you for clicking on him. However, you quickly realize that each click is to cause Harvey pain.
DETAILED GAMEPLAY
The core gameplay of BLOODMONEY! revolves around clicking to earn money. But the appeal lies in the fact that you can use many different items, such as needles, hammers, crossbows, or other tools, to increase the amount of money Harvey pays.
- Feather: This is the only tool that will help you achieve the Good Ending if you keep using it until you earn $25,000.
- Needle: Increases the amount of money earned but causes Harvey obvious pain.
- Hammer: One of the popular tools to increase the speed of earning money.
- Scissors: Increases the amount of money but at the same time pushes you closer to the bad ending.
- Match: Causes an extremely cruel burning effect.
- Knife: One of the most powerful tools, it helps you increase the amount of money earned quickly.
- Gun: Causes severe damage that makes Harvey suffer heavily.
3 endings
- Good Ending – Redemption Path: The player chooses a way to play that causes less pain to Harvey, earns money slowly but still achieves the goal. You resist the temptation of “blood money” and find salvation through helping others.
- Normal Ending – Balanced Path: the player inflicts moderate pain on Harvey. You gain the necessary amount of money for the surgery, but the price is an internal struggle.
- Bad Ending – Corruption Path: the player uses the most powerful tools of pain, such as knives or guns, focusing on making money quickly. You accumulate enough money but are drawn into a spiral of greed and violence. Harvey is tortured to a catastrophic level, and the game ends in a gloomy atmosphere, showing that you have been completely corrupted by “blood money.”
