Super Mario Bros 2

Super Mario Bros 2 is a 2D side-scrolling platform game in which the player's goal is to defeat the main enemy, Wart, by navigating the character through the Subco world. After the resounding success of Super Mario Bros, Nintendo quickly released Super Mario Bros 2 with a higher difficulty.

Gameplay

Players choose one of four main characters, including Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Toadstool, to start the game. Each character has a unique ability that allows the player to control it in different ways. Whenever the player character loses all of its health due to damage or falls off the screen, one of the player's three lives is lost. The player can restore health to their character by collecting hearts that appear after defeating a certain number of enemies. The game ends when the player loses their last life.

Differences between Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 2

Compared to the first version, Super Mario Bros 2 will bring players new experiences. Instead of eating mushrooms and jumping on the monster's head, Mario must spit them out and throw them at the opponent. There are no turtles and goombas; instead, there are strange monsters. The final boss of the game is not Brower, an evil turtle, but instead Wart, an ugly frog with a plot to imprison all the residents of the Subcon world.
