In each version of Vex, players can unlock Hardcore mode. This is an extremely difficult game mode, only for experienced players. Players can activate this mode in Vex X3M via the level overview menu. Players just need to tap on the skull slider in the upper right corner to activate. The frame around the level preview will turn red, indicating Hardcore mode is active.
